Allocation of courses will take place shortly.
At the beginning of September, members will be sent an allocation letter along with the Newsletter. This will contain details of new courses, a list of the Wednesday Lectures, Norah Boyce Science Lectures and Film group screenings for the Autumn term.
The next Cultural and Social trip on Monday 3 October will be to English Heritage’s Wrest park, Silsoe, Luton.

Closing date for receipt of application forms is Friday 2 September.
The recent survey sent to all members whose course finished at the end of the summer term has now been collated and analysed.
The results showed that there was an increase in both categories of ‘excellent’ and ‘good’. Indeed a few courses had excellent across the board! So congratulations to those highly appreciated tutors.
No courses overall gave real cause for concern across the majority of members. Those comments that were less appreciative (on balance, very few), are noted. There were some that were hybrid delivery related. These have also been noted.
All tutors should feel pleased about the outcomes overall. Individual tutors have now received the confidential feedback about their courses. This will support them as they plan their courses for the coming academic year.
So thank you to all class members who completed the survey for the course(s) they attended. It is much appreciated by tutors and the Courses Committee who can all benefit from the feedback, leading to an even more positive future learning experience for course members.
Maggie Balshaw, Director of Studies (Courses)
