The U3AC Theatre club is an informal group of members who enjoy going to see plays and welcome the opportunity to meet and discuss the experience after seeing it. The club began meeting at the beginning of 2023. We have regularly enjoyed the live screenings at the Arts Picturehouse from the National Theatre (so far we have seen Othello, The Crucible, The Life Of Pi and Good). We visited the ADC to watch Translations and were able to meet the director the week before. Of course, you are not signing up to see all these shows – each individual decides which show they wish to see. We are hoping to arrange trips to the theatre in London and elsewhere in the coming months.

In Summer term, we will focus on visits to local theatres.. Those of you who responded to the polls wanted to go to the theatre  with like-minded people, so I have chosen one date and venue for each show to see how that works out. We can discuss the production at the bar at the interval or afterwards inThe Eagle:
