A trip to visit The National Stud and National Horseracing Museum, Newmarket

Dews coach departs:
1. Madingley Road Park and Ride: 9.15 am
2. Trumpington Park and Ride: 9.30 am
Coach returns to Cambridge at 3.30 pm
We shall visit The National Stud for a guided tour starting at 10.30 am lasting 90 minutes. It is the only Thoroughbred Stud in the UK to offer tours to the general public. There will be some walking from the coach to the stables paddock areas.
Then travel by coach to the National Horseracing Museum, we are able to visit at our leisure.
The museum was built in the remains of Charles II’s Sporting Palace and racing stables. The museum moved to the Palace House Estate in 2016. Queen Elizabeth II opened the venue in November 2016.
The Tack Room sells light bites, sandwiches, range of salads, mains and desserts, cakes, tea and coffee.
There are toilet facilities at both sites.
