Introduction to developmental psychology (PSY 01)

  • Description:

    The focus will be on early child development (before the age of 5); an area in which there have been exciting recent discoveries. We will look at topics such as what childhood is and why is it necessary; nature versus nurture; the development of attachment bonds; the development of thinking (including thinking about other people) and the development of language. We will also look at the development of personal identity and at some of the methods used to study early development. No previous knowledge is assumed. Please click HERE for presentations
