This Group is not intended as an alternative to the existing Investment clubs or courses offered by U3AC but to run in parallel with those courses. Members would be encouraged to contribute their own experience of different investments: the stock market, property, options, their own expertise or company. How was a decision made regarding what to invest in? How has performance been assessed? What is regarded as “success”? Has anyone tried to trade on the stock market i.e. holding shares for a relatively short time? If so, how has a decision been made as to when to buy and sell, and how successful has this been? What tips do we have? The intention is very much to learn from each other and not to exclude those who might consider themselves novices in the area.
