Croquet for beginners (Summer term) (LEI 17)

  • Day and time: Monday 13:00 - 15:30
    Weekly
  • Length of course: 1 term. Summer (6 Weeks)
  • Number of places: 10
  • Start date: 10 May 2021
  • Description:

Croquet is a great way to combine fresh air, fun and a social activity. We will introduce course members gradually to all they need to know in order to spend an enjoyable afternoon playing association croquet. Actual games will start in the first or second week. The course is primarily intended for beginners, or those who have played before but would like a refresher course. The main objective is to introduce course members to the basic techniques and strategies of the game. There is a possibility of playing on into the summer with the Histon and Impington Croquet Club after the course finishes. As a preparation, we suggest the purchase of a very useful beginner's guide called 'How to Play Croquet', which is available for £4.00 from the Croquet Association website, http://www.croquetassocationshop.org.uk. Note: no session on Spring Bank Holiday 31 May
