Table Tennis (FIT 25)

  • Day and time: Monday throughout the year 10:00 - 12:00
  • Length of course: 3 terms. Autumn (5 Weeks), Spring (10 Weeks), Summer (10 Weeks)
  • Number of places: 31
  • Start date: 09 November 2020
  • Description:

Table tennis is great fun and helps to improve hand-eye co-ordination and fitness, as it can be fairly energetic. Some prior experience is required - however long ago. We are a friendly mixed-ability group that plays throughout the year, and those interested go for lunch together after the session on the first Monday of each month. Bats are provided by the venue, though most people bring their own. We now supply balls, and are introducing an annual donation of £1, payable to the Coordinators. The venue charges a sessional fee £2.50 per person, payable at the desk.

Note: Under the Government's Tier 2 rules, it seems unlikely that this course can run, at least not in its current format. It may be possible to resume with some careful planning, possibly on the basis of playing singles, to minimise any mixing. We will be liaising with the course organiser and the venue and will contact members if and when we can start.

We know this is frustrating for everyone but will endeavour to get this up and running as soon as possible.
