As many of you already know, our Bridge Street building is currently undergoing major construction work and is CLOSED TO ALL MEMBERS AND VISITORS over the Summer. You can continue to contact staff in the usual way, either by email or telephone – we are still available to help even though we are not in the premises!

We’ll announce in the Bulletin when Bridge Street is to re-open.

Trip to Denver Sluice

The U3AC Environment group have arranged this trip for Tuesday 14 October. The visit will look at how the water levels and flows across the Fens are managed in order to protect the environment, prevent flooding and provide water. Three expert speakers will give an overview of water management more widely across East Anglia, how this is being impacted by climate change, and the potential impacts of the melting of the West Antarctic Ice Sheet (WAIS).

Cost: £27. Deadline for applications is 6 October. Places will be allocated on a first come first basis. Application forms are now available on the website Here

As always, our varied programme includes a number of recent films, as well as some classics from the past. I shall shortly be preparing a draft programme for the Spring Term, so any film suggestions for future shows should be submitted to the Office, or given to myself no later than 14th October.
