You are invited to a workshop led by Matthew Pye, offering a mix of presentations and interactive sessions. In this workshop Plato is mobilised to do some myth busting about climate change.
Two major events in Plato's youth flipped his world upside down. The first was a war, the second was an execution. He spent the rest of his life trying to get the bottom of things, wrestling with the fundamentals. Plato pushed to find the truth in an Athenian world that seemed to be dominated by 'truth decay'.
Over 2000 years later, despite his blank stoney looking face, he can be a great guide for us in understanding our modern world.
This workshop will be highly participative and constructive. Please come with an open mind and be prepared to actively question your own thoughts and assumptions about how we should deal with climate change. You will also be encouraged to think afresh and be receptive to differing views and perspectives and accept there are no 'right or wrong' answers.
Everyone will leave with a free copy of “Plato Tackles Climate Change”, some surprising facts about climate change, and some fresh perspectives on everything.
