Integrating strategies into portfolio design (INV 01)

  • Day and time: Thursday 15:30 - 16:50
    Weekly
  • Length of course: 1 term. Autumn (10 Weeks)
  • Vacancies: 0
  • Start date: 08 October 2026
  • Description:

This is a small class for graduates of the classical strategies class last year. It seeks to answer the question 'How can we embrace what we learnt last year into a workable portfolio structure?' At the start, we will review how portfolio design has changed over the last 50 years and how it continues to evolve. Different portfolio structures will be reviewed before we move onto fitting both classical and modern strategies into a robust portfolio design. The tutor will also introduce a design framework based on his research, and show how this can be flexed to meet individual requirements. The class will embrace significant discussion on how to fit (if they do) different investments / strategies previously covered, e.g. Turbo bonds, and how to produce synergy between a range of investments, whilst avoiding the pitfalls of older design approaches.
