This course will look at the causes and effects of the coming of the Second World War. The war was not a single event but a series of clashes which interacted with each other. We will look at some of the long term causes of the conflicts as well as the more immediate factors. We will look at the domestic issues which helped shaped countries' foreign policies and at the domestic consequences of foreign policy.
