Description:
We will continue our reading from some of the great authors of classical Roman literature, both verse and prose. Last year we read from Virgil, Plautus, Cicero and Sallust. Planned future reading includes Tacitus, the beautiful poetry of Ovid and of the lyric poets. We usually take turns to read and translate, but it's not compulsory, you can just join in the discussion if you prefer. Texts and translations are provided. You should have studied Latin at A level standard (or above) to get the best from your reading.
