Description:
Why do we read books? To widen our horizons and to nurture our souls!
Last year we read ten novels picked by Group Members in turn. These ranged from 'There are Rivers in the Sky' to 'I Julian'.
Your choice should be a work of literary fiction and ideally one you have already read. The main criterion is the book has to be worth reading and discussing.
For our first session come along with a book you have loved reading. We will discuss these and arrange a programme for future meetings.
Come for the books, stay for the company!
Format: Discussion
Leader: Ann Dewar
I would read all day if I could, wallowing in well-chosen words. I love entering other worlds, other people's heads and exploring the human condition.
Organiser: Diane Phillips
I love the opportunity to read a wide range of books and hear others' views, especially when there is a difference of opinion.
