Description:
From its earliest days in China, the game of Mah Jong is now played throughout the world and consequently some variations of the rules have developed in the West. We follow those specified in the book 'The Game of Mah Jong Illustrated' by Patricia A. Thompson & Betty Maloney, ISBN 9780864173027 and you will need to have a copy of this book. (Try the many online providers where new or used copies are frequently available. Priced usually around £21) We differ from those rules only insofar as we do not waste valuable playing time in scoring every game. Somebody wins. We play again. It's fun!
Format: Course or activity without teaching
Leader: Rosemary Mathew
Having played Mah Jong as a student I found it great fun, many years later, to re-learn the game and make some new friends
