  • Description:

This choir is for experienced choral singers with good sight-reading ability who are confident to sing unaccompanied. We enjoy a variety of sacred and secular music. This year the focus of the organisers will once again be 4 to 8 part Renaissance music, mainly unaccompanied, but course members who would like to suggest and lead pieces from other genres will be encouraged. We expect to use the Oxford Book of Tudor Anthems and European Sacred Music; other books may be used during the year. Online links will be provided by email each week for those who do not have these books. Repertoire is announced in advance so that members can ensure they bring the correct music (book, printout or tablet) and can prepare in advance as necessary. We are a friendly and welcoming group who sing for our own pleasure and not to perform in public.
