  • Description:

Staying safe online is a practical course that explains how the internet, websites, and the cloud work - using clearly explained technical terms only when necessary. You’ll learn how to create and manage strong passwords, explore newer alternatives like passkeys, and spot scams and phishing attempts before they catch you out.

The course also covers how to keep your devices secure with updates, backups, and security software, along with managing privacy settings, understanding data breaches, and avoiding common social media pitfalls. We’ll look at safe online shopping and the growing risks from AI-generated fakes in emails, images, video, and voice.

Each session is built around realistic examples and simple, practical steps you can take to stay safer online every day.
