'This course will investigate, being in time and space and consider what can be said, if anything, about the nature of that being. To do this, we will look at some of the structures of existence, like the lawful universe, mind and consciousness. We ask, if we can adequately describe being outside of time and space? what does AI reveal about our being ? will AI become self-aware ? will humanity become redundant? We will refer to the ideas of, Plato, Aristotle, Heraclitus, Parmenides, Carlo Rovelli, Julian Barbour, Sean Carroll, David Eagleman and Bernardo Kastrup. A wide variety of other philosophical and scientific sources are also used. The dates for this course are: 14 Oct, 11 Nov, 9 Dec 2026. 20 Jan, 17 Feb, 17 Mar. 14 Apr, 12 May, 9 Jun.
