Description:
We are a friendly and welcoming group committed to protecting the environment and promoting sustainability. We meet on the third Tuesday of each month at the David Attenborough Building to discuss current environmental issues, recent research, and practical ways individuals can help create a healthier, more sustainable planet for future generations.
Format: At our meetings, we discuss a wide range of topics, including climate change, biodiversity loss, pollution, water resources, and the conservation of natural habitats. In partnership with the Cambridge Conservation Forum, we also organise a variety of activities for all U3AC members, including workshops, presentations, guest talks from expert speakers, and field trips to sites of environmental interest. Our website provides links to information on international, national, and local environmental issues. This can be found at https://u3acenvgroup.wixsite.com/u3aceg.
