Description:
Each one of these great Modernist poets took poetry in a profoundly different direction. In this course, we will closely read and discuss some of their most important poems, with a view to understanding the unique poetic charism of each poet and the meaning (what is meaning?) and form (or absence of form) of the poems which we consider.
The poems to be discussed are usually readily available online, but they will also be on the screen in each class.
