This course features quality Rock 'n' Roll, Rhythm 'n' Blues, Soul and related music, mainly from the 1950s and 1960s, but with a few detours into earlier and later decades. Subjects include Music Inspired by Pirate Radio, Original Tunes / Cover Versions, New Orleans Rhythm 'n' Blues, as well as personal selections of favourite tracks. Many of the tracks selected were big hits in their time, others are less well known but authentic examples of their genre. The course is the successor to "It’s Only Rock 'n' Roll, But I Like It", which ran very successfully for several years. The music will be chosen and presented by previous course attendees.
