    Weekly
  • Length of course: 3 terms. Autumn (4 Weeks), Spring (10 Weeks), Summer (10 Weeks)
  • Number of places: 6

  • Description:

This course is aimed at those who already know Akkadian (whether from U3AC classes or otherwise). The class will last for 45 minutes (10:45-11:30), and will follow the Introductory course “Babylonian and Assyrian 1”. We will begin with selections from Sargon’s VIIIth Campaign, and then move to the Mari “Correspondance féminine”.

Those signed up for “Babylonian and Assyrian 2” will also be welcome to listen in to B & A 1 (10:00-10:40), but to keep numbers manageable as muted auditors.

If in due course the health situation permits us to meet in person, the venue will be on Trinity College premises.

Do e-mail me with any queries or comments.

This course will run in the Autumn term, on Monday mornings, for the first 4 weeks only (Oct 5th to 26th inclusive), and then continue through the Spring and Summer Terms.
