  • Description:

How has the Coronavirus altered the way we achieve zero carbon? Governments across the world have in response to Covid 19, quite rightly put populations health above economic values. This course will argue that ecological sustainability has also to be treated in the same way: health of humanity above economic values. It will be based on the book, 'The Case for the New Green Deal' by Ann Pettifor arguing for a radical and urgent reversal of the mainstream western view of how to run our economies given a commitment to fairness and social justice. It further argues that we need to rethink the function of money, and how it has come to dominate our lives.

Note: The Autumn term will be held via video-conference (Zoom).
