  • Day and time: 3rd Monday of the month 14:30 - 16:00
  • Length of course: 3 terms. Autumn (3 Weeks), Spring (3 Weeks), Summer (3 Weeks)
  • Number of places: 14
  • Start date: 19 October 2020
  • Description:

The focus of this group will be on contemporary fiction, but biography and autobiography can be included. The books to be discussed will be chosen by members. Everyone is encouraged to bring ideas for books, available in paperback or from the library. The group is mixed and friendly. Our aim is to welcome new and returning members with equal warmth. We normally take turns to introduce the book and lead the discussion, but willingness to do this is not a requirement for joining. Our first book will be "Drive your Plow over the Bones of the Dead" by Olga Tokarczuk.

Note: The course will be held via video-conference (Zoom) on the 3rd Monday of the month on the following dates: 19 Oct, 16 Nov, 21 Dec. 18 Jan, 15 Feb, 15 Mar.

  • Format: Discussion

  • Coordinator: Merryn Grimley
  • I am a longstanding members of this friendly, democratic group and currently act as coordinator.
