U3AC Bird Club (LEI 20)

  • Day and time: Friday 10:00 - 15:00
    Fortnightly
  • Length of course: 3 terms. Autumn (5 Weeks), Spring (5 Weeks), Summer (5 Weeks)
  • Number of places: 75
  • Start date: 09 October 2020
  • Description:

The club welcomes both novice and experienced birdwatchers to its all-day visits to reserves throughout East Anglia. Day trips take place every other Friday in term time. Some reserves charge an entry fee if you are not a member of the organisation that runs it, e.g. RSPB. Members will be informed of the programme before the start of each term. Participants meet for coffee at or near the venue, usually at 10 am. Journeys are in members' cars, car-sharing is encouraged (when social distancing requirements permit) with passengers contributing to the fuel costs. Sometimes overnight visits are arranged either in the UK or elsewhere. Social events include occasional club lunches and a coffee morning for new members before the autumn term. The annual subscription is £2 per member, to cover administration costs and must be paid on application.

Note: The start of this course will be postponed if social distancing guidelines cannot be complied with. Trips may have to be cancelled if the reserves we plan to visit have to close.
