Our well-established, enthusiastic SATB group was delighted when we were able to resume last year. We sing a wide range of music - sacred and secular, traditional and modern, and usually also tackle a more challenging, substantial choral work each term, alongside a variety of smaller arrangements, madrigals, motets, extracts from operas/musicals and other lighter pieces. We have performed works by Saint-Saëns, Gershwin, and Bernstein as well as the rarely performed 'Hiawatha's Wedding Feast' by Coleridge-Taylor, and recently, 'Phaudrig Crohoore' by Stanford. All music is provided and just occasionally we request a small voluntary contribution to help with this. We welcome new members and whilst the ability to read music is not essential, you should be willing to learn your part so that you can sing confidently and in tune! Regular attendance is important as we aim to perform to a very supportive audience each term. Please note: 4mYa 2023 has been replaced by a meeting on 2 May.
