    The Bible is the book that has had the greatest influence on Western civilization. Whether we are believers or not, it is our heritage. This class will not be about theology but about the dating and historical contexts of the texts that form the Bible. We shall also consider when and how these texts were assembled. Discussion in class will be actively encouraged.
