When you've gone into a world new to you through a book, it's really satisfying to share your experience with others. They may agree with you or not, it doesn't matter, but sharing the experience is both enlightening and enjoyable. You may even find things that you missed. That's what this book group is about. The first book is chosen by me, after that it's for the group to decide, old favourites, new discoveries, whatever captures our interest. The book I've chosen this year is one I've waited for impatiently, but find I'm strangely reluctant to start: Hilary Mantel's "The Mirror and the Light". A long read, only in hardback at the moment but there are many deals available. Happy days.
