  • Day and time: Monday 14:00 - 16:30
    Weekly
  • Length of course: 3 terms. Autumn (10 Weeks), Spring (10 Weeks), Summer (8 Weeks)
  • Number of places: 8
  • Start date: 05 October 2020
  • Description:

In the first term, we will be looking at the natural world in Autumn. There will be a focus on invertebrates and fungi, with the use of keys for identification. In the second term, we will concentrate on local birds and birdsong identification, but also include other aspects of the natural world. In the summer term, we will include all aspects of nature - rocks, plants, fungi and animals. Excursions will be planned jointly. Throughout, members will be encouraged to find out about things for themselves, either by observation or reading, and to share their knowledge with the group. We will generally meet at the house, but go outdoors as often as possible. Excursions might include 3-4 miles walking and climbing stiles.
