The course will follow the successful format established by Colin Whitworth but with the use of email and Zoom conferencing in place of meetings. Prior to each session the presenter, using email, will send out material as a basis for discussion. This may be a formal ordered presentation or a collection of words, music, video, or images as appropriate to the topic. The presenter will then lead discussion through a Zoom conference. Topics will cover all of the arts – eg visual, literature, poetry, music, dance, film/tv, architecture. Discussion will be open and informal ranging from the specifics of the topic to the more philosophical. We hope for a lively exchange of opinions in what has always been a highly participatory forum. It is essential that all members of the group are willing to present at least one prepared topic during the two terms.
