FIT 07: Tap Dance

This course will continue in the summer term on Tuesdays 1.30 - 2.30. Tap dance is such fun, very good exercise and the group would welcome more members. There is a fee of £36 to pay for the tutor. Contact the office to enrol.

Meetings will continue through the Summer interregnum at 27-28 Bridge Street, Room 1. (Coffee 10.30, start: 11.00, finish: 13.00 approximately). The main agenda will continue to be ‘the truth about human nature unknown to itself’ apropos conscious existence in an unconscious universe. As Einstein put it “The eternal mystery of the world is its comprehensibility…… the fact that it is comprehensible is a miracle.” (Physics & Reality March 1936.) Usually quoted as: “The most incomprehensible thing about the universe is that it is comprehensible.”

Art tutor
A self-help art class that currently meets on Tuesdays from 2-5pm at Arbury Community Centre would like to have a tutor. There is a mixture of beginners and more experienced members. If you would be able to help please contact the office.

Cycling Club
A continuous programme of short, medium and long cycle rides, mostly near Cambridge. There are still places on most of the rides in the current programme, up to the end of June. The July-August programme will be available early in June. For details see the U3AC web site. To join ring or email the Office (the contact person for single rides changes from time to time). Swimming at the Leys Pool
We have several vacancies for new members.
Term starts 12th May, ends 7th July 2011. There are two sessions per week: Tuesday 1.00 – 2.00 pm & Thursday 10.00 – 11.00 am
Please note the change on Thursday we start earlier due to a change in the Leys School Programme. (Applies to this term only).
We take a HALF TERM break on 31st May and 2nd June.
The fees are unchanged from the present Autumn Term.
U3AC Members - 12 sessions for the term £37, 6 sessions £22. Fees are payable at the pool side.
The present flexible arrangements will continue. Members can swim on either Tuesdays or Thursdays and change from week to week to suit themselves, or swim twice a week to make up.
Prospective new members should contact the organiser. One free sample session is offered.
