1945 was the seminal year of the 20th century; the 2 worst secrets in prehuman history were revealed: Nuclear WMDs and Industrialised Genocide. 'Solving the Final Solution' is the key to understanding their causality. This 2 month course will be based on 4 books: The Holocaust by Martin Gilbert: The Final Solution edited by David Cesarani: Modernity and the Holocaust by Zygmunt Bauman and The Nazi Holocaust: Its History and Meaning by Ronnie S Landau.
As the latter author states: "The 20th century has seen remarkable advances in virtually every field of human endeavour, but it has also borne witness to some of the most barbaric events in all of human history… and the Holocaust probably ranks as the very worst". It is this paradox that is the crux of the self-negating contradictions in a 'pre-human nature'.
